Contains a list of descendants of conquistadores and their wives resident in New Spain in 1590, compiled by Andrés de Obilla from "Fragmentos de Memorias Mexicanas" in the library of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri in Mexico City; partial record of meetings of the municipal administrative bodies of Mexico City, March 1524, to June, 1529, also made from records in the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri; opinion of the father provincial and other Franciscans to defend the Indians and regulate the labor exacted from them under the repartimiento system, March 5, 1594; (Cont.) description of the ceremonial display of the royal standard on August 12 of each year (post 1745); notes for a history of the origin and value of coinage used in Mexico during the 16th century, collected by Ramírez; and a report by Diego Clemencín (1765-1834) on the value of currency used in Castile during the time of Isabel I.
